The
'47 Chrysler Town & Country woody convertible - one of the most
awe inspiring classic cars we had ever seen. To think they really used
to build cars like that, and nowadays, the wood look is achieved by contact
paper!
With a spectacular body like that, we had to do the interior justice.

We repadded the seats and reupholstered them in the original burgandy
leather surround with the original tan bedford cord cloth inserts.

The door and rear quarter panel boards were remade and also reupholstered
in the original matching materials.

The trunk panels also had to be remade and recovered. The trunk floor
and spare tire were covered in a high quality coordinated carpet.
The convertible top had to be redone, but there was no pre-existing
pattern.

We handmade the top and window curtain from scratch using tan stayfast
canvas. We then installed the chrome framed glass rear window.

After creating a matching canvas top boot, the job was complete. Now
that's an interior which will do a car like this justice!
